My day in grand rapids is not going well. Two really turds from Founders and then this beer! Here we go: black body with no head what so ever. Light roast and sweet malts, vague yet neutral porter aroma. Not bad not good, just average. Taste is loaded with green apples. That is not what a porter tastes like, that is what a really infected beer from most barrel aged offering from Dark Horse 4 elves party tastes like. The beer feels thin, but at least it does not seem heavy on the pallet. I had to return this beer to the bar tender because no one wanted to drink more than a sip of this beer.

Pours a dark dark brown.a finger or so of light tsp head. Looks quite respectable. Smells roasty with just a touch of honey peaking through. Tastes a bit overly acidic. Roast comes out more as it warms. The honey is really nicely balanced. Good thick mouthfeel . Pretty solid for the porter but the acidity hurts it's drinkability a bt. Overall a much better beer than their wheat.
