5oz sample at BJ's (Brea) 5/17/2010. All variations spent about the same amount of time in the barrels (since September or October 2009) and looked about the same.
Pours deep red and mildly hazy. Nice white head with not much in the way of lacing or retention.
Aroma is slightly oaky, somewhat caramelly, and a hint lemony.
If there is lacto in this beer it's not obvious. Mostly a dry red ale with some oak. There is some tangy and mildly sweet oak flavor. Seems to be a lighter version of the regular Jeremiah Red with some oak flavor. Over all it is a very mild sour beer.
Body is light/medium and decently drinkable. Probably a bit strong to have a pint of.
