Growler fill from the source. Growler waited in the fridge for three days. Beer is deep copper to amber in the glass with a frothy white head that shows off some stick on the way down. Aroma is a mix of grassy hop and fruity esters with some caramel. Flavor is a combination of clove, lemon, grass, pine, and a caramel overtone. Prickly carbonation in the mouth with a light-medium feel.
Enjoyed this beer overall. Thought it was a nice, rustic, natural, Americanized Belgian ale. Maybe would have liked the caramel malt dialed back a bit to let the grassy hops and Belgian character shine through more. Congrats to the first brewery in Madison County - hope to see your beer, philosophy, and hard work prosper in the years to come.
