This pale ale draws elements from several different beer styles and utilizes a hefty addition of cucumber with the goal of creating a crisp, refreshing summer-geared pale ale for your sipping pleasure. Kölsch yeast, a German ale yeast that creates a lager-like profile, provides a cleanly fermented, low-ester foundation. Paying homage to the greatest state in the union, a heavy reliance on a new hop variety, Idaho #7, in tandem with Amarillo endows the beer with an herbal aroma and flavors of citrus, apricot, melon, and a hint of black tea. Its moderate hopping provides a noticeable 42 IBU backbone. Pilsner malt comprises the majority of the grain bill keeps the beer extremely light in color while supplying a delicate malt flavor. Small additions of Munich, wheat, and special pale malt add light complexity and a touch of color. The beer is intended to be dry and low in body to aid in its more refreshing nature. 125lbs of organic cucumber were shucked and gruesomely pureed to pulpy perfection, then added late in fermentation.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a moderate level of retention fading to leave just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew massive of a cucumber smell mixed with a little bit of a grainy and cracker aroma. Along with these smells comes some lighter notes of a floral smell as well as a little bit of grass and herb.
Taste- The taste begins with an interesting flavor of cucumber mixed with a crackery-malty taste. As the taste advances the cucumber actually gets a bit stronger and is joined by some flavors of an earthy and herbal hop. Toward the end a little bit of a floral hop joins the tongue and with the rest of the flavors, ends up leaving one with a rather crisp but sorta smooth and refreshing taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average to thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather normal. For the cucumber and cracker tastes the slightly thinner body is quite nice, and makes it a much easier sipper.
Overall – A rather interesting brew overall. It is a pale ale mixed with a good showing of refreshing cucumber. Very interesting and rather enjoyable overall

Cucumber bomb! That's right! A cucumber pale ale, I saw this and had to try it. Gotta love when a breweries description of a beer ends up being exactly that. Poured into a pint glass at the brewery this is a clear yellow golden with a white head. To be honest you pick up a little melon on your first whiff. The second it hits your taste buds it's cucumber and you can't avoid it. This is incredibly refreshing and tastes just like it sounds. It's light, crisp and easy to enjoy. Very cool beer, and unlike any other beer I've had. Well done.
