this is tasty, not too sour, cranberry forward, and quite well made. i didnt really know these guys did sours and the like, but this is there for me, a neat mix of flavors with a little more maltiness here than a lot of these have and the cranberries together with the salt, its not overly sour, and the intangibles are all here, i thought it was really good. not much color to it from the fruit maybe a little pink toned in the glass but to me looks almost more colored by crystal malt, but it has a nice frothy white head on it and good clarity. the nose and taste are about the same, a little sharpness from the lactic souring hitting about the same note the cranberry tang is at, but its balanced by a sweeter citrus fruity element and the fuller grain body, which has a toasted vibe to me in the flavor. the salt is drying and adds an earthy mineral layer i like a lot with the fruit, and while there is plenty of depth to this beer and a lot going on, i like how identifiable the cranberry is. unique take on the style even without the fruit due to this malt bill, but it comes together super well and i was stoked on it overall. neat to see the diversity on their beer menu here, a little bit of everything!
