a gorgeous india pale lager here, beautifully crafted, looks great in the glass, crystal clear, incredibly active and constant carbonation feeding an inch plus of puffy pure white head, ring lacing from each sip. its super clean, like to the extent that i cant really smell or taste a ton of lager yeast, its so efficient it has made itself almost invisible, which actually keeps this lighter and more summery to me, i dont miss it because its contribution can still be so easily appreciated in the mouthfeel, which is super dry, snappy and crisp, and very nicely lagered overall. the hops drive this, as they should in the style, not overdone but very layered to me, a grassy spicy earthy old worldy sort of hop vibe hits me first, more citrus as it sits, and late on the palate i get more modern hop tones of juicy pineapple and key lime. its light on the grain side, a little pils kiss to the grain taste, a big mineral profile, and just enough body. i think all the elements come together brilliantly here, and this is a beer i had a hard time walking away from after just one pint, they nailed it. really killer take on the style, lighter than many but still good and bitter to finish. yum!
