cold ipa and a pink boots thing, i was hoping to try the green tea hazy ipa when i was in, but they were out and this one took its place. very light as these go, a real obvious sort of lager crispness to it, dry as a bone and super clean tasting and feeling to me, they really got that part of this dialed in. very light color, straw at most, with good clarity and shine, a fizzy white head, and a lot of rising carbonation. smells and taste on the generic citrus side of the hop spectrum, tangerine peel, meyer lemon, that sort of thing, and its tidy and fresh and bright, but nothing super distinctive about it to me, its more about the texture, the colder ferment really does a lot for this, and i think its perfect for the springtime. i dont taste anything from the yeast, but i feel its work. something lightly floral here too, and the whole thing is rather delicate, bitterness is mellow, carbonation high, and even though it isnt super interesting, it is very good. i like that cold ipa is becoming a thing. this place rules, great vibes, killer space, inventive beers, cool people, one of my favorites in town!
