This English Summer Ale is light, crisp, and refreshing. We included small additions of "Grains of Paradise" (African peppercorn, this is an ancient traditional brewing ingredient) which provides a hint of pepper-like spiciness that is quite refreshing.

I drank the absolute shit out of this in the summer and am glad to see it making a reappearance in November. It looks like a lighter pale ale with a frothy white head. The nose is restrained but fruity. In the mouth the fruit combines with just enough sweetish backbone to balance it and make sure that palate fatigue doesn't set in from any one note. The body is light and quite refreshing.
I got this on draft all the time over the summer and we must have killed four or five growlers of it at various barbeques. It was always a hit.

On tap at brewery, was told this was one time, with potential to become seasonal, or permanent. I hope this one stays. They called it an "English Summer Ale", dunno WTF that means, but it was a nice beer.
Light yellow with some off-white surface foam. Brilliant clarity. Pleasant citrus nose up front with lemons and grapefruit - really decent nose. Flavor seemed watered down a hint with a bit of bitterness, yet carrying the character of the nose. Medium bodied with moderate carb. Nice beer with a good tone for a 90 degree day in Zoo Town.
