Straw in colour and intentionally hazy. An unapologetic amount of dry hopping delivers big tropical aromatics that give way to bright citrus and stone fruit flavours, and an incredibly juicy mouthfeel.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from my favourite The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Orleans, ON brewery.

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario Canada 473ml at 6.4%.
Poured into glass with a 2 finger head leaving a lace as you drink it.
Very smooth lots of tropical fruit flavours
Nice smell and aroma it's well balanced with flavor
Low to medium bitterness level.
Overall a great new england style IPA beer from this brewery.
Cheers

473 mL can from TBS; dated May 2 2022 and served barely chilled.

Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour, crowned with three fingers of fluffy, soapy white head that dissipates at a steady pace. Within five minutes, a bumpy half-inch cap remains, but it continues its descent until only a wide, soapy collar and patchy film are left over. Lots of spotty, far-flung lace, too - it's a good-looking glass of beer. Floral, slightly spicy hops come through on the nose, but there's also some juicier, fruitier notes - plenty of orange & melon, with hints of passion fruit and grapefruit.

A serviceable IPA with restrained bitterness. Wheaty, grainy pale malts, oats and a light honeyed sweetness serve as backdrop, with flavours of grapefruit, melon and orange dominating. The finish adds some hop spiciness, with weakly floral, earthy hop bitterness immediately reverting to more melon and citrus in the mildly sweet, acidic aftertaste. Medium in body, with low carbonation that results in a smooth, soft mouthfeel. Good drinkability, with no sign of the 6.4%.

Final Grade: 3.62, a B grade. Broadhead's NEIPA is a noble effort, but given the scads of hazy IPAs available these days, I don't think it manages to distance itself from the pack in any way whatsoever. Don't get me wrong: for a six month-old IPA, it's still drinking admirably well, and I would never discourage other hopheaded BAs from giving it a shot. If I stumble upon a really fresh can, I'd have to give this another try, but for now I'm content to call this an average hazy IPA by Ontario standards.

Looks good. Moderate head that settles to a solid and substantial cap. Lots of heavy foamy lace. Plenty of sweet malt and hops on the nose. Heavy honey-like nose. Lots of melon. Hoppy and sweet. Somewhat medicinal finish. Noticeable alcohol. Big sweet puffy mouthfeel. Just strikes me as rather heavy handed across the board. Too sweet.

473 ml can served fairly cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.75 CDN. Canned May 4, 2021.

Appearance - Very hazy, rich golden color with a finger plus of rocky white head that stays for a while. Minimal lacing left behind.

Smell - Lightly tropical notes, some mango and melon, but rather subdued and little distinctiveness.

Taste - Some light bitterness, some general tropical flavors, but flavors are weak and again not distinctive. I'm vaguely getting a weedy, melon flavor with some mango and a touch of grapefruit. Peach might be featured as well. More watery than juicy. Bitter melon rind to close.

Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, a bit heavy, a touch sticky on the palate, while being watery.

Overall - Not bad but a bit vague across the the board, many local NEIPA's are better.
