This assertively hopped medium-bodied American black ale exudes a combination of woodsy and grapefruit hop notes, blended together with a complex dark malt character and subtle hints of chocolate and coffee.
This beer isn't for the weak of palate or heart.

Pretty good Black Ale. Pours a dense black color into a pint glass from a 12 oz can. Some red light shines through. Big light tan head with good retention and wide bands of filmy tan lacing - a good looking beer. Aroma is mostly roasted malt with some coffee and chocolate. There is a little piney hops in the nose as well. Flavor is similar to aroma except the hops are more pronounced in the finish. Mouthfeel is crisp and rich. Rich malt and piney hops nicely blended together.....makes for a good Black Ale.

Cask. Barrel Aged. 'Nuff said. And I'm not even a fan of black ales!

This beer is a definite black IPA. The flavor and smell is that of a IPA but its very good. It is lighter tasting than expected

Pours a light brownish color with dark ivory colored head. Pine, roast, and some light coffee tones on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with piney roast.
