This was stop #5 on a Florida vacation for my wife and me. The pub is located along a busy commercial street. The place is small with brewing equipment at one side taking some space, but a U-shaped bar that can seat 12-14 people and 4 bar tables can seat a small crowd, but a nice beer garden is located to one side of the building, and it looks like it could hold a number of people. Parking is along the side street or a lot at the rear of the building.

We sat at one of the tables and ordered a sampler flight of 7 of the 12 beers that were available. Each of them was brewed very well to their particular style characteristics, and the brewer went nicely beyond style for all of them. The outstanding beer was the Dark Track Imperial Milk Stout, plus the Quackalope IPA was also notable. Overall we graded the beers at a 4.0 out of 5 score. Very well done!

There is no food available here other than packaged snacks, but a poster on the wall spoke of Food Truck Thursdays, so some planning ahead can get you some food with your beer. There is also limited liquor and wine. There is great beer to be had here, and we'd definitely go back when we're in the area again.

I have only been here during the day and not in the evening. The place and atmosphere its self is great. It's a small brewery with a few tables inside the bar area and more outside. It is a great place to come and hangout at. Their Nipperkin and Quackalope are absolutely tasty. If you are ever there and they have their s'more stout it is a must have.

I don't understand why barley mow's beers aren't on ba. Went here for the first time on their one year anniversary in july. Amazing! Normally have 10+ of their own beers on at a time, growler everything as long as it isn't on nitro as well. During the 1 year party, had a semi truck with 30 taps pouring some of the best brews i've had lately, including brandy and scotch barrel aged smores stout! Unkindness black ipa is their signature beer, the quackalope ipa is solid as well. Somebody from barley mow get on here, register your beers, so we can start rating them, I want to see the masses find out about this place!

I stumbled onto Barley Mow by chance right after it opened. Wife was in Largo running a race. I got bored the day before and just went out adventuring. The owner, Jay, is a really good guy. I enjoyed chatting with him. All the beers I tried were stellar. I especially liked The Unkindness, and I definitely recommend checking this out if you're nearby!

Barley Mow has become one of my favorite craft beer spots in Pinellas County, FL and one of my favorite overall breweries. The beers here are top-notch. At this point in time, my favorites include the Quackalope (IPA), Black Ale (hoppy black ale), and the Brogue Irish Stout. The atmosphere also gives great vibes; you can chill at the old school wooden bar inside with views of the brewing equipment or you can go to the outside patio where there are nice white lights and sometimes a live band playing. The bartenders will come outside to you to take your drink order/refill order as well. One of the owners is usually onsite and all staff are extremely friendly.

The only downside for the place is that they frequently run out of their products and it is sometimes hard to keep up with the demand. There have been a few times when I will go to the brewing company and want to try a beer I heard they just tapped, and by the time I get there it has run out. I know it's great for business, but it's one of the only cons about visiting this great brewing company.

If you like fantastic and unique beers with a laid back and comfortable atmosphere, you don't want to pass up Barley Mow!

Great place to go for one drink or to sit and sip all night. Live music almost every Friday and Saturday on the patio outside (so rainouts are possible). Everything from classical/jazz guitars to punk rock. Great selection of American craft beers and constantly rotating stock.

Licensing is finally complete and they have started brewing, but will be at least July 2012 before they are serving their own because they want to have a variety and sufficient amount to keep it on tap.

They don't serve food, but BBQ place across the street is great and they encourage you to bring in food from wherever you want. They also have a binder full of takeout menus if you need them.

As of March 12, 2012 still not brewing their own stuff. Damn!
Nice place regardless, with a U-shaped bar center stage. Soft tip dart machine, a bunch of chrome-plated fermentation vessels and 4 tables make up the remaining furniture.
At the moment the beer menu consists of Great Divide Titan, Swamp Scianhops & Bogs of Mislays, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, Cigar City Maduro, Cold Storage's FL. Avenue IPA &Ale, Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro, Red Brick Hoplanta, Lost Coast Alley Cat, Blue Point Spring Fling, FL. Beer Co. Southernmost Wheat, Kelly's Irish Cider and Tampa Bay Brewing's Iron Rat Stout with all of it on taps.
Good stuff all around with a heavy emphasis on Florida based breweries.
At 4 p.m. on a Monday, the place is pretty quiet except for the bartender, brewmaster and owner.
Right on W. Bay with a nice looking BBQ place across the street.
They offer a full alcohol bar for those who don't drink beer assuming people like that exist.
I expect this place will improve once they are legally allowed to brew and sell their beers. We will have to wait for the wheels of government to grind thru the process for that.
