shared swing top bottle.
Nicely treated porter has modest BBL aromatics and flavors, and a lingering whiskey aftertaste. Could use a touch higher carbonation.

Tried this beer twice so far in the bottle. Both times, got the sour taste in the background. Since I doubt this was intentional, it brings the score of the beer down. It was, by no means, a drain pour. But, could have been an outstanding beer without the infection. This brewery does not release bottles on a regular basis and can chalk this up as a rookie mistake.

So if you're sitting around trying to irritate people who buy your beer, waxing a swing top is probably a good idea, because you get to shower wax everywhere while trying to greco-wrestle the crap off. Then if you're not satisfied, create a label that says "bourbon barrel robust porter" & put something sour inside instead.
Yeah, Old Cackler. Black/brown, not much hint in the nose, but there's a sour twang of infection racing through the beer like a thoroughbred. I can almost taste the bourbon & porter before the sour aftertaste Godzilla's whatever the beer was supposed to be. The forefront isn't bad - behind the curtains is foul.
Failure in multiple directions. Bad.
