This is a limited release brew by College Street and, at least to me, seems to be their stout on steroids. The stout is good; this stout is very good.

Pours black with a dark tan, almost brown head, and one feels like your in for a chocolate coffee malt the way it looks.

Nose is all dark sweet chocolate and rich coffee.

Mouthfeel is rich, creamy and well carbonated with a good balance.

Flavor profile is what you were hoping for when you looked at it and smelled it. Full of rich assertive flavors of black chocolate, sweet black coffee, roasted grains, burnt toast and bitter espresso.

Finish follows the flavor profile with the lingering bitter black chocolate and bitter espresso tones. All in all quite nice and a good effort.

Kick up the alcohol and perhaps with a bit more extracted flavors and they've got themselves a real gold medal winner!
