Pours murky brownish orange with a small cap of white head, leaving minimal lace on the glass. Smell is a mix of musty funk, wet leather, lactic sourness, oak tannins, bit or wine maybe and some mild booze. Taste is along the same lines as the nose. The musty, funky, sour character dominates up front and then the oak, wine, dash of sweetness and the ever present booze round things out. Finish is pretty dry, lingering long after the finish. Sour, boozy feel from start to finish with plenty of dryness backing it up. Overall a pretty solid sour for their first attempt. I wouldn't want to drink and entire bottle myself but I would definitely have another pour. Great work guys!

750ml waxed bottle poured into a snifter. The brew appears a clear golden color with a quick dissipating head that leaves some spots of lace on the glass.
The smell of this brew is pungent with chardonnay character. Plenty of booze, oak and hints of something kinda like acetone..kinda but not really? Im not sure how to describe it but it is wild with vinous notes and something else I cant quite put my finger on.
The taste is big and boozy with wild notes and pleny of vinous chardonnay. The funk is mild with bretty cobweb character almost cracker-like and dusty into the aftertaste. I am a big fan of the base beer and what a unique experience to try this completely morphed version.
It is boozy yet light bodied and modestly carbonated. A nice attempt at a wild ale. Im not totally sure id like to drink much of this but I also would not refuse a chance to try it again. For being someone who typically does not like big alcohol sour beers, I could tolerate a glass of this.
