355 ml bottle (exp. 04/2016). Yellow to amber liquid, with reddish tones. Clear appearance, with small solid particles at the bottom of the glass, like a bit of sand. Almost no foam, made of small bubbles. Good aroma from the fruit, resembling sweetness. On mouth, it also shows the fruit, but low sweetness. Some faint crispness and dryness after each sip. Light body. Actually, it's not my preferred style of beer.

Bizarre beer. Tastes a bit like wet cardboard at first. There's a slightly corny tasting malt, with a weird tangy sweetness -- like overripe fruit with a few tabelespoons of sugar. A bit perfumy. Tastes like this was brewed with flower pedals, honestly -- strange, but intriguing. Hard to tell how I feel about it... very distinct, unusual beer.

Had a nice herb-like spiciness, packed with flavor for a low ABV ale.

Long time no see, let’s review it this time.
Golden color with a thin aired head that vanishes quickly.
Predominant fruity aroma with what I believe it is the Bacuri being sweet and slightly sour. It felt like a mix of lemon with seringuela (another Brazilian Fruit).
Sweet fruity flavor with notes of Bacuri, butter (this is an oily fruit, so not necessarily diacetyl), faint floral hops, sweet lemonade and lychees. Dry aftertaste with a low bitterness.
Light body with good carbonation.
The sweet and sour from the Bacuri reasonably went well with the beer, though they should tune down its sweetness and better balance it with more hops. Given the nature of this fruit, it should also go even better in a Sour Ale.

Pours a nice head but I did not get much retention or lacing. The smell is great, as you definitely get the smell of this unique fruit. The taste of bacuri is definitely there as well, though it doesn't overpower the beer. The citrus aftertaste is very pleasant. It is neither too heavy nor too light on the palate. Overall a great fruit beer!

From a 355 mL bottle courtesy of DoubleJ,

A: Pours a gorgeous clear yellow with a firm white head, some nice lace.

S: Grapefruit, tangerine, Meyer Lemon, citrus peel.

T: Lots of sweet lemon flavours. Reminds me of lemon meringue pie or lemon custard. A creaminess for sure in the taste. Quite good.

M: Light-bodied, crisp and very refreshing, very easy drinking.

O: A true session beer and one that's made for summer. Reminds me quite a bit of Sam Adams Coastal Wheat, but is superior.

Bacuri is a typical Amazon fruit that grows to the size of an orange, yet has a pleasant sweet and sour flavor. Truly a one of a kind fruit. And the folks at Amazon Beer decided to use this indigenous fruit for one of their recipes. From a 355 ml bottle courtesy of Ricardo via Sergio (obrigado caras!), on to the beer:

Clear, clean, pale golden in color. There is a solid enough head that sticks on top and leaves a few trickles of lacing. The nose is unique and full of the fruit. I have never tasted or smelled a bacuri fruit until now, but I can sweat it is authetic enough. It's like a sharp lemon scent mixed with grapefruit, like if you were to rip the feel from the fruit.

Tastes like bacuri. Ok, in English, it's a lot like sucking on a lemon, but a touch more tart. Citrus peel even. The crisp carbonation of this light bodied beer provide a stark and refreshing contrast to the fruit element.

Unique and very interesting, all at just a mere 3.8% ABV. One great option to suck down during the heat of a Belém summer...wait, did I just type summer? I meant wet season.
