This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of juicy American hops. The extensive dry hopping process contributes to its bright and flavorful character. This beer is unfiltered to leave all the natural flavors intact and bottle conditioned to stay super fresh.

Malt Bill: Munich, Wheat, 2-Row, 70/80
Hops: Columbus, Chinook, Cascade, Simcoe, Golding
Dry Hop: Simcoe, US Golding

Copenhagen 7/4 2018. 35,5 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. The usual gulping fish and some eager Fishermen on the label.

Pours slightly hazy amber with a medium sized white head. Settles as a thin almost transparent layer of foam. Lacing along the side of the glass.

Aroma is intense mix of tropical fruit and strong citric notes. Grapefruit in abundance and some peach and canned pear.

Strong carbonation and medium thick texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is quite bitter. Finish is dry.

A tasty well made IPA.

Clear, amber color. Nice, white head. Aroma of malt, pine, and tropical fruits. Good balance of hoppy taste and strong, malty background. Dry, bitter finish. Fair IPA.

This brewery does some really good beer. I've only had 3 beers from them, and they were all good. They do a pretty decent job with an IPA, nothing like the west coast though. Rated about 2 1/2 years ago.

Picked up a couple Sweetwater beers on an unexpected trip to Florida last week. Saved the IPA for a review.

19.2 ounce can (curious enough, not listed on the web site) best by February 2025. Poured into my Libby Imperial Pint.

L -- Clear, brassy gold with a tall, dense white head. Final pour turns the appearance hazy.

S -- Pine resin with light citrus.

T -- Pine resin and light citrus up front. Some dank earthy notes back. Not much malt. Finish and aftertaste of bitter, piny and herbal hops.

F -- Mouthfeel is dry and crisp with a light-medium body.

O -- A basic AIPA. Easily drinkable with little pizzazz, but I wouldn't turn one down.

Note: I am in the process of moving all of my ratings from other beer sites to here, so that all of my ratings are consolidated in one place. The review below is an exact copy of my original RateBeer review from 05/30/2022.

12 oz, can, 6.3% ABV, Best by date: 08/21/2022

AROMA: Scents of lemon, a bit of dankness, and some floral notes.

APPEARANCE: Pours a slightly hazy medium-brown, with an exceedingly high (at least 4 fingers), pure white, head with fantastic lacing! This has to be one of the best heads that I have ever seen come out of a canned beer!

TASTE: Slightly bitter with a bit of sweetness on the finish. But no real discernible flavors that I can detect.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a slightly tacky texture and average carbonation.

OVERALL: Other than the head, there is nothing particularly great, or bad, about this beer. It's not overly bitter, overly sweet, nor overly high in alcohol. All of which, makes for a nice session beer. Basically, if you are at a bar (or party), and this is on tap (or in the cooler), then you will be content to down several of these, and never have a single complaint. However, if your goal is to actually "experience" the beer, then this beer is probably not for you. In essence, a nice beer worthy of drinking, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Can says to enjoy before two weeks from now. No idea if that means this is three months old or longer.
Pours like I mean it, leaving a nice cap of foam topping a light caramel colored beer. Low aroma, one I’m straining to find, with a faded citrus and pine hop profile. It seems like something I’d find 20 years ago, maybe longer.
