I had this brew at Sweetwater's Better Late than Never event last Sunday. Im a huge fan of stouts so this cask brew which incorporated Swiss Miss packets and mint was pretty great. The head wasnt like most stouts that I have had but the over taste was great. I could really taste the mint and a bit of chocolate. Overall, I hope they make this a regular brew.. Maybe next year they can incorporate some orange peel and have a Chocolate Orange Happy Ending like the candy :) I would definitely be a happy camper with that...

Described as Happy Ending with 10 packets of Swiss Miss, marshmallows, and crème de menthe.
Cask at the brewery.
Pours dark, dark brown, almost black, with a few big bubbles floating around the top that flee quickly and leave no lacing at all.
Smell is like a mintier version of a Thin Mint cookie with some chocolate malts in the background with a solid mint presence on top. Interesting.
The taste follows the aroma with the dark chocolate malts as a base and a little bit of sweetness. However, the mint is the dominant presence in the taste. It just builds up after each sip to a massive mint bomb.
The mouthfeel is smooth and slick with only a hint of carbonation. Pretty light mouthfeel overall.
This was a very interesting beer that started out tasty and original but it was honestly tough to finish the glass as the mint really took over. Weird but tasty.

Pours one shade lighter than black with just under a finger of large brown bubbles on top. The head recedes quickly into a thick ring of these bubbles around the glass.
Smells of mint, mint, and more mint. The chocolate is also there, but the mint is definitely the alpha aroma.
Tastes...interesting. The mint is still strongest, but the chocolate flavors come out a bit more than in the smell, and small amounts of roasted malt come through every now and then. It's basically a beer version of a heavily minted hot chocolate.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a good thickness with grainy and sparse carbonation. Goes down smoothly.
Drinkability is good, as long as you like mint.
Overall I'm glad I got to try this as I haven't seen many stouts using Swiss Miss and mint.
