Yet another beer from the Single, Fresh, Wet & Wild hop harvest festival by Sierra Nevada in Chico, CA. They said this was a wild hop beer, but it seems to vary between non wild hops year to year, or even barrel aging.
Pours a light amber color, 1/2" off white head. I cannot tell what kind of hops are here, wild or otherwise, just had a vague caramel and pine needle familiarity. C hop guess. Really comes off as the opposite of a lot of those neomexicanus ones that are wild, this seems as held in captivity as any of the C hops out there.
Taste was just not cutting it for an ipa, both taste, mouthfeel were a lower bitterness and hop flavor, I was getting mostly that caramel crystal malt presence and a very mild low alpha acid like bitterness out of it that made me question if I was even poured the right beer.
