Wheat Ale with Passionfruit & Kiwi

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, medium-golden color with a strong and bubbling white head that lasts. SRM of 7-8. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of tropical fruit, kiwi, passionfruit, dragon fruit, with some pear and vinous aromas off the end. (3.75)

Flavor: Mild flavors of tropical fruit. Kiwi, dragon fruit, guava, and papaya. Finishes with a smooth grape-like sweetness. Leans dry from the wheat. (3.50)

Feel: Leans-lighter bodied. Nice carbonation. Finishes clean and relatively dry. (4.00)

Compared to New Belgium Summer Bliss 6/27/21: Pours a clearer color with a larger head. More tropical aromas. Less mango and spice.

Overall: A light and fairly clean tropical wheat beer. Drinks tropical like described with a nice wheat body. Mostly Kiwi, dragonfruit, guava, and papaya flavors. Mild though and not overpowering. Drinkable and could probably replace most light adjunct lagers during the summertime. A nice and clean summertime wheat ale for sure. (Final Rating: 3.69)

Pours an effervescent & bright gold with 3 fingers of pearl colored head. Descent lacing & below average head retention

S: Passion fruit & strawberries once warm

T: Follows the nose, also the promised Kiwi & dryness, plus a little tangerine up front. Dryness, grassy bitterness & Kiwi as this warms, a little bitter orange as well, plus a little passion fruit. Finishes dry with Kiwi Fruit & a little sweet orange

MF: Medium/Light body, fairly firm carbonation

Easy to drink but pretty meh in the flavor department, glad I only got a single

12 oz bottle with a 7/17/2021 BB date stamped on the back label.
Pours with a clear, dark golden body and a decent head.
This has a very fruity aroma. The flavor hits the tongue with some fruity sweetness but quickly turns moderately bitter. Shimmy, near medium body and carbonation.

Got from a tackle box from Specs in Wichita Falls, TX. (Can you believe they deleted the IPA "yellowtail" from the mix pack for this???)

Thin bodied wheat ale that drinks like a skunked IPA. Almost no detectable fruit flavor, in fact if it wasn't on the label I wouldn't believe it to be a fruit beer.

One of sweetwater's worst. I haven't had a truly bad beer ever from them, but this is about as close as it gets to a drain pour for me. Delete.

On draft. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left some sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of berries, caramel, wheat and yeast. Very sweet tasting with a strong berry presence. A little overly sweet.

Quite surprised with this...

...expecting a wheat and I got a funky, dank IPA. I don’t think this is one of Sweet Waters better offerings. Indeed, this was certainly not...

Nicely golden in appearance, slight aroma of fruit, but not the taste I was expecting. Light himts of fruit on the front end but a very heavy and Long lasting bitter finish. Sweetwater makes some nice beers, I’m not sure this one will stick around long.

Poured from a bottle. Golden on color with a white head. Smells of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, lime and orange. Kind of a weird flavor, maybe to many different things going on. Taste is like a tropical fruit candy. Not bad but not what I hoped for.
