I’ve been keeping these until now to try. It’s a pretty decent milk stout. A good flavor of chocolate, light on coffee, and roasted flavoring. I will enjoy the other cans I gots.

Very dark opaque black coffee color with a decent tan head that stays around decently and produces some nice lacing. The aroma is coffee , chocolate and sweet roasted caramel malt. The taste follows exactly, no noticeable almond flavor but still very nice, rich and mellow. The finish is somewhat dry with a lingering coffee note. The body is medium/full, moderate carbonation, very smooth and creamy. Altogether this is a very tasty and drinkable take on a milk stout, no complaints and looking forward to another.

Poured from can into a Guinness pint cup. Pours very dark with a nice tan head, but it dissipated quickly. I only picked up some coffee scent and not much else. Flavor is mild for a stout. The dark toasty coffee/chocolate flavors are there, but not overwhelming. I enjoyed it and would have one if offered, but there are better stouts out there.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, chocolate. Taste is the same as the aroma, a bit of coffee is present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall this is a quality beer.

12 oz can, dated 1/21/22. Pours dark brown with a bubbly light tan head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is sweet chocolate and some nutty roast.
The flavor is sweet chalky chocolate malt with some acidic roast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, not my favorite.

Poured from a can. Very dark with a foamy tan head and lacing. Smells of roasted grain, malt, and chocolate. Taste follows the smell and the flavors are strong. It all comes together nicely. The almond milk is not really recognizable but it's a good beer.

taste is just as good, and the feel is right on the money.
overall, much better than I expected, and would highly recommend. the almond is not noticeable but the overall

Ebony with a 2" tan head, which lasts. Heavy lacing.
Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roast malt.
Taste follows nose: Coffee, chocolate, roast malt.
Full body, light carbonation. Dry, astringent finish.
Not getting any almond in the taste. Still a great beer!

12 oz can with a January 2022 BB date stamped on the bottom served in a lager glass.
Appearance. Near black and nearly opaque body with a weak beige head.
This has an excellent aroma but the flavor fails to keep up. While the aroma has fine if subtle notes of almond and vanilla, these are nearly lost in the robust flavor where dark roasted grains dominate all else.

SweetWater Brewing Co. "Almond Milk Stout"
12 fl. oz. can coded "CAN CONDITIONED FOR FRESHER TASTE Check the BIEB date on the bottom of your can 02/26/22 D1046". Sampled on 12/27/21.
$2 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: First of all, have I ever had a milk stout from SweetWater? I don't remember it if I did. And what is a "BIEB date"? Best Imbibed Entirely Before...? I honestly can't figure it out but I get the idea. The label states that it contains almonds and wheat, which is a good thing because it means that they haven't just used a flavoring for it. Ahh, wait, on the front it says "MALT BEVERAGE WITH NATURAL FLAVOR" so I guess I was wrong. It's got a stout appearance with a black body and full head of rocky tan foam. The aroma is chocolatey, or perhaps cocoaish is a better descriptor, and mildly roasty. There's not a lot going on there but hey, that's perfectly fine for a stout and I'm glad they didn't over-do it. The taste follows the aroma with more chocolate, a touch of yeasty fruitiness, mild roastiness, and some almond. It's actually pretty good. It's not that bitter, perhaps 20-25 IBUs, and yet it finishes mainly dry. It's not as sweet as most of the milk stouts that I've tasted but that's OK. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. I can dig this beer, and I think there's just enough almond that it wakes up an otherwise basic stout while not crossing over into so much almond that it becomes too much to have two in a row. On that note, I think you could easily have two in a row if you wanted to as it's really quite easy to drink. The head held up fairly well, but far from great, and the lacing is limited. I'll suggest you try it but at the same time I'll also say that I'd buy a six pack but not a case.
