Cask at the brewery. Not sure if AIPA is the best category for this but I can't think of a better one. As far as I can tell this is a dry-hopped mix of the IPA and Georgia Brown - I'd also guess that Motor Boat played a part but it's out of season.
Pours a muddy brown color with a one-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.
Smells of strong herbal hops with good amounts of citrus and lighter amounts of pine hops. Also present are solid toasted and lighter pale malt aromas.
Tastes similar to how it smells, although the malt flavors hold a bit more sway than the smell intimates. Toasted malt flavors with hints of toffee and milk chocolate kick things off before quickly lightening into slightly grainy caramel and pale malt flavors. Right as the malt flavors lighten large amounts of citrus, herbal, and pine hop flavors join in, in that order. The hop flavors carry through to a solidly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is very good. It's got a smooth thickness with grainy carbonation.
Drinkability is also very good. I finished my glass with no problems and could have a few more.
Overall I thought this was a nice mix - a nice malt profile with a really nice nose. Worth a shot if it ever returns.
