Misc.: $0.65 per ounce
Finally made it to Coin Haus, walking there to sample a few brews and play some arcade games. The arcade games ended up being free (would have been to 6 p.m.) for the whole time I was there. This was one of those places where you pour your own beer and pay by the ounce. Figured I would break my rule of only reviewing six ounces for today only (and any other time I go to Coin Haus). Went with Finest Made 19 Blood Orange IPA first, mainly because I wanted to compare it to Latitude 33 Blood Orange IPA. Was looking forward to it.
Poured a light amber clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky offwhite head. No bubbles underneath. World-class even foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled a huge dose of blood orange up front. Also got floral, orange blossom, tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, a touch of lactose and orange creamscicle. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted very flavorful from the jump. Blood orange, bitter orange rind, orange blossom, ruby red grapefruit, orange creamscicle and floral. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Not quite as good as Latitude 33 Blood Orange IPA overall, but still excellent overall. (Overall - 4.25)
