The brewery had a keg of 2016 vintage on tap. It was poured into a pint glass.
Clear golden brown color with light head and lacing. Sour apple smell and taste. Floral with warm spices, a bit nutty. It is refreshing and tasty and has a richness of flavor that is hard to describe but very satisfying. Would definitely get again.

I bought a whole case of this. These bottles made good gifts, and were enjoyable to drink with age. It's a fantastic drink if someone likes sour beer

The beer has an aroma of dark fruits, caramel sweetness, and tartness.
The flavor follows of a fantastic combination of American wild ale and a Flanders red. A calming sweetness of cherries and plums. Then there's an acidic medium plus tartness. A wonderful drying.
What an auspicious beer from this brewery.

I haven't rated a beer in 4 months, before that it was 10. This beer is amazing.
Poured into a JK Tulip. Color is a deep, rich burgundy. Thin white head, dissipates quickly. No lacing.
Smell is very rich and lingers. Dates and Cherries with a hint of funk. Truly indescribable, I cant do it enough justice.
Taste follows nose perfectly. Slightly more acidic than you would expect from the sweet aroma. Delicately balanced, you can almost tell this was intended otherwise (the bottle claims it was a batch of skylight dunkle that turned).
Mouthfeel, good. Just good. Slight crisp tartness that leaves your palette dry until you quickly salivate in response to the acidity. Exactly what you would expect from an established barrel aged sour. I hate to invoke Supplication, but it really is a decent substitute for us East Texans.
Overall...get to Specs before me tomorrow. Im bringing out the family "emergencies only" credit card. Will beg forgiveness over a cold Astrolabe.
