Expected this one to be better than the raspberry one and that one was delicious. Plan on mixing the raspberry and blackberry after.
Poured a dark reddish amber, copper clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy-to-fizzy white head. Light bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good spotty, foamy lacing. Above average retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled juicy blackberry, hunts of blueberry, slight oaky wood and purple grape. So clean. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was not quite as good as the nose, but it did follow it. Not as good as the raspberry, almost like it needed more time. Reminded me a bit of Alpineās Dark Elixir (as always, not a good thing). More sour than tart. Also some black cherry. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Fruity, tart finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was good, but not nearly as good as the raspberry version. (Overall - 4.00)
