16 oz goblet and Yardhouse in the Red Rock Las Vegas
L - Copper, 3 fingers of head that dissipates quickly
S - Pine, pungent citrus aroma. Pine dominates
T - a hop bomb, as expected. Lots of bitterness and Pine
F - medium body and carbonation
O - a triple IPA is not shockingly a hop bomb. Almost an overdose so it’s best in small doses or split with a friend

Type: 12-oz. draft
Glass: Clear goblet
From: Yard House in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $7.75
Purchased: Aug. 5, 2017
Consumed: Aug. 5, 2017
Reviewed as: American Triple / Imperial IPA
Misc.: Collab with Alpine, brewed exclusively for Yard House
First time going to the Yard House in Mission Valley and first time hearing of this beer, a triple IPA collaboration between Green Flash and Alpine for Yard House. Not the biggest fan of Green Flash, especially lately, but still a fan of Alpine. Was hoping not to be let down from this one. Quick review.
Poured a pale, clear color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. A few slow-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Maltier than I’d thought on the nose. Also Simcoe, resin, sappy pine, bitter earthy orange rind, light stone fruit, floral and plum. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste started out not tasting 10.5 pct., but wore me down by the end. Got resin, sappy pine, spicy Simcoe and bitter earthy rind. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, boozy finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was a really good triple IPA overall. Outstanding, even if I think I overrated it just a tad. (Overall - 4.00)
