From a can. Pours a brilliantly clear amber with a one finger of off- white foam. Smells of sweet caramel and malts. The flavor follows the smell with pronounced caramel and a honey-like sweetness from the various malts, balanced toward the malt but with some non-discript hops. Medium bodied, the finish is more caramel sweetness.

Pours mainly clear deep red color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is very good. Lacing is good. Grains, caramel and honey on the aroma. Grainy with a sweeter honey taste at the end. Maybeva little peppery. There is a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Pours a red-amber with generous light beige head. Fragrance of malt and caramel. Taste is quite malty and only slightly hoppy. Some honey-like sweetness as well as caramel. Ends with a pleasing bittersweet finish.

An excellent red ale.

Poured a dull reddish-amber with a slight head of white foam. While no honey is actually in this offering the sweet scent of honey is present -- a triumph of malts! Other notes of caramel and toffee are present, making this a very malt-centric red. Taste follows closely with a meaty blast of malts before trailing off into a slightly less sweet, herbal notes from the lone nugget hop. Feel is medium bodied, partially heavier from the esthers and partially lighter from the carbonation. I prefer a bit more hop bite in my reds, but this malt forward beast is enjoyable.

Deep dark amber. Big fluffy head reduces to fine layer that laces sparingly. Honey and apples, malt, with a hint of hops layer the taste buds. Good carbonation.

12 oz can, best by 7/6/18. Slight gusher, pours very hazy ruby amber with a medium off white meringue head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet honeyed biscuit malt with subdued green hops.

The flavor is sweet sugary honey caramel biscuit malts with some earthy fruity hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, very sweet honey biscuits.

A pretty refreshing beer that is dominated by the caramel malts. There also seems to be a hint of fruitiness to it. I thought is was pretty smooth and tasty.

L; Pours an amber orange color with a slight bit of haze and a medium to small creamy white head with no lacing on the glass.

S: When it's colder, I get a strong note of apple. When it's warmer, I get nice notes of caramel and toffee and a little chocolate. A little bit of cherry. I don't get a lot of hops. A little one-dimensional smell.

T: Notes of apple, honey, caramel, and toffee. The apple is very noticeable. This beer has an astringent bitterness from the malt at the end. The taste just doesn't quite come together.

F: Medium body, and creamy carbonation

O: There is a strong note of apple and a somewhat astringent bitterness that ruins the rest of the beer for me.
