ive always liked these guys, great to be able to drink some of their beer last night, its been to long, huge thanks to my buddy for bringing this up to share, super cool cans too! nice color on this, deep golden to brassy with just a touch of a deeper toasted malt look, not quite fully clear but not a new england type either, and a tall white head on it well over an inch high and lasting. the nose is familiar but complex, high alpha c varietal hops leading the way, some grapefruit pith and spruce needles to it, a little bit intense but then really nicely balanced out by the grain, which is a tad sweet in the nose, honey-like, and earthy, great balance here, bold character. the flavor is the same, woody centennial hops seem obvious, and some spiciness is here with the back end bitterness, not green or overdone in the least, but quite sturdy, and some west coast oiliness to the feel leaves this on my tongue awhile after each sip. some weed-esque vibes to the hops profile too, lightly nutty on the back end, off dry but just right for these flavors, relatively complex for familiar ingredients too, super fresh, very hearty, almost autumnal ipa to me, very well made. surprised this doesnt have more favorable ratings here, its maybe a touch old school stylistically, but i really dug it!

Im wondering if the rep gave an expired one. This tasted old, very bad. No date printed on the can while all the others were fresh. Idk I hope its expired cuz if it wasn't there's zero need to try again.
