12oz can, adhesive label. Stamp on bottom lip is 'OK12THRTWE5'.
Black colored body, with a mahogany brown back lit edge. Light brown head with the pour but this dissipates to islands and a full ring. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts and bourbon barrel. Chocolate and caramel.
Taste is sweet and full of bourbon barrel. Flavors of roasted caramel and chocolate malts, bourbon barrel, oak, and vanilla. Very light cherry. Aftertaste disappears quickly. Low bitterness.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and creamy but get dry quickly at the end. Okay carbonation.
Sweet note assists in getting this to the finish line.

Dark brown with a reddish tinge and 1/2 inch of brownish head. Nose is burnt sugar, chocolate, hazelnut, cherry cola, and a whiff of ethanol. The taste is vanilla, dark Karo syrup, baked pie crust, slightly bitter char, a harsh alcohol taste, and a lasting oaky finish. Slightly thin with moderate carbonation. Somehow the alcohol really gets in the way here. In both the nose and taste it is a bit off putting.
