Pours clear dark reddish brown into a glass from a bottle. The fawn head sits at a finger height before receding down to creamy surface froth.
Aroma is very weak; some red watery fruit, light malts, and a little hop presence. Flavour is very similar; some mild fig and date, red apple, a little roasted grain, some toffee malt, and some hop bitterness on the backend.
Mouthfeel is very thin and watery. Some mild carbonation is present but otherwise this beer is quite still.
I'm not a fan of watery ales; this had potential to be nice but I can't get past the body which isn't 'full' like the label makes out. It's easy drinking with more of a Dark Mild vibe going on than anything else.

500 ml brown bottle with a BB date stamp of 31 Dec. 2015. Consumed at the ed of April 2015 in Largoward, Scotland.
Dark red-brown body has a decent head and leaves some lacing. Very appealing malty aroma. The flavor follows. Neither is particularly complex.
O: a well crafted, extra malty ESB. Worked well with a water buffalo burger.

Nice label with a bit of a clichéd guy with a handlebar moustache. Smooth head that becomes lumpy with a good deal of lacing on the glass. Dark amber caramel colour that can be seen through. Smells of cocoa, hops and a touch of apple. Tastes of caramel, molasses, apple with a balance of hops, sweetness and acidity with a nice smooth mouth feel. It's good but not exciting. It is under the name of Morrison's supermarket in the UK.
