I am so happy to be taking these out of the backlog & adding them to The CANQuest (tm)! I had purchased these 5% ABV offerings initially, only to see them go off offer & be replaced by an 8% version! 8=O These are the very reason for doing side-by-sides.
From the CAN: "Twist It, Pop It … It's time to kick it with Floyd's[.] The best times are never planned, they just happen. Make them happen with Floyd's."; "Gluten Free".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN my slow, gentle C-Line Glug without any really high hopes for what might be awaiting me inside. It was determined to have a slight haze and as a result, I just let it free-flow. It produced a brief finger of fizzy, foamy head, but it fell into wisps so quickly that I beCAN to wonder if it might not have been an illusion. Color was a slightly-hazy White-Pale (SRM = 0 - 1). 8=( Nose had the unnatural scent of lemon pie filling or Country Time Lemonade and while it included "Lemon Juice Concentrate" as an ingredient/adjunct, it also had a chem lab quality. 8=( Mouthfeel was thin & watery, about as to be expected. Taste was really tart, a bit sweet, but much better than I was expecting, based on the nose. It had a pleasant lemoniness with a moderate sugary presence, all of which was fine by me. I was expecting ungodly sweetness & getting a moderate tartness in its stead. Finish was semi-dry, but I would not argue against semi-sweet. It was drinkable, but it would not be my first choice. YMMV.
