very little head, dark, cant see through the pour.
smell is malt-y, with a little spice mixed in with the hops.
some hop bitterness, but good balance of malt. slightly sweet, kind of toasted....
overall, not bad... 7% is good.... but not going to waste a whole lot more words on it... probably wouldnt buy it again...

appearance = The color is a deep amber; on the dark side for this style but very nice. Tan two finger head at pour that disapated after about 4-5 minutes.
smell = Very malty, somewhat sweet, some coffee and roast malt; some hop aroma.
taste = This beer surprised me. Malty, slighty sweet followed by a nice hop bitterness to balance. Some carmel flavors with roast malt are there. Finish is slightly sweet with malt flavor.
mouthfeel = Medium body and carbonation. Actually very smooth and easy to drink.
overall = This beer really surprised me. I got it at Fresh and Easy grocery store; $1.99/22 oz bomber. I got it just for the fun of it and where it was made. We've taken a few tours of Minhaus while up in the Monroe area. While we had fun and were WELL taken care of in the tasting room, in general, and with critical honesty, their beers are nothing special. I did't expect much but this was very drinkable and tasty. I actually liked it and would buy it again. Considering the brewer and what they generally brew, well done!

Poured from a 22-oz. bomber into a pint glass. One finger of head. Light tan lacing with some see through black spots. Random tan film on the sides.
Smelled of dark chocolate malts with coffee and toffee. Heavy on the malts.
Tasted somewhat similar to the smell but could get the alcohol as well. Also tasted bourbon, dark chocolate and coffee. Malty.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long smooth finish.
I really, really liked this beer. My ratings are ridiculously high compared to the others from Underworld (Minhas), but I can’t hate on it. One more really liked it for the road.

Bought from Fresh & Easy but it is made by Minhas. This might be an alias for Mystical Jack Traditional Ale.
Clear dark brown colored ale with a tall light brown colored head.
Smell is malty and full of herbal hop. Scents of smoke and band-aid, it does smell a bit like Rauchbier.
Starts out a little sweet and bitter with a strong herbal hop bitter finish. Little bit of smoke and patent malt in the flavor. The flavor doesn't develop to much.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall it is OK like most beers from this brewery. Worth the $2.50 this costs a bottle.
