On tap into a small pint glass
A - Ultra thin, off white head. Unable to remark concerning frothy, creamy, or stony due to thinness of the head (that's how thin the head was). Beer itself is dark brown, almost mahogany and very difficult to see through. Some carbonation is visible but not much. 3.75/5
S - Interesting combination of aromas here. Notes of raisins, peat moss, and grassy hops are the notes that I get which is followed by a pumpernickel bread as the beer warms. 4/5
T - The taste yet again has an interesting combination of notes, this time with green apple, raisins, black pepper, grassy hops, and peat moss as well as a smoky woodiness which leads into a slight roasted umami note. No lingering bitterness to this beer although the back end is somewhat bitter. 4/5
M - Medium carbonation and medium body with a drying astringency on the back end. 3.75/5
O - Very nice combination of aroma and tasting notes make for a nice complex experience that truly pleases the palate. The balance leans more toward the earthy side of things but there is a sweetness that tries to pull it back toward the center. 4/5

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
