Had on a trip through Texas about 7 years ago. Big Texan Tourist Trap. Got a flight of 11 beers for $12 and that was too much for the quality of the beer.

Stopped by the restaurant and filled a 2.5 gallon growler and brought it home. Poured into pint glass at 40 degrees. Very thin head, but present that dissolved quickly. Initial smell of rubbing alcohol that was very off-putting. I could taste the malt but it was a very slight flavor. Tasted like a bowl of cheerios initially and then the bitterness kicked in. Mouthfeel was metallic and thin. Finished with a very alcoholic aftertaste.

Appearance:
Dark copper color, touch of haze. Lots of fine carbonation rising. Small head.

Aroma:
Bready malts, toasted, some sourness.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Sourness up front, but it's very lemony (it's a hop character?). Bready malts, toasted, a little caramel. Finish is clean, crisp, refreshing. Body is medium, crisp, clean, refreshing, easy drinking, some dryness.

Overall:
It's a good beer, but the sourness is a little overwhelming.
