On-tap 9/6/2014 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a snifter glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains spices, caramelized malts, some Belgian yeast and some hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. Then some spices come in along with some mild caramel sweetness. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, very mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer but there are better choices in the style.
