Muddy apricot brown with a large near-white head that forms to a few fingers before collapsing vigorously with minimal lacing to a film.
Nose shows clean tropical fruits, mango paw-paw and rockmelon bolstered by even sweeter pear esters. Modest hay, dried herbs and musty funk cutting through it all. Really nice stuff.
Flavours are drier, with a large contingent of grassy, peppery spice shading the fruit somewhat, but there's still plenty of juicy melons and a jungly green edge to it overall.
Light to medium entry with medium carbonation for the style and an appreciably dry, minerally, verging-on-metallic bitterness at the finish.
Overall this is a bloody good Saison. Impressive character, aroma/flavour profile and drinkability. Rather impressed with Morrison so far.
