Climb aboard a staff favorite! We've mingled citrus-like American hops, toasted malt, rich dark sugar, and fruity yeast in this Belgian-style IPA. Fruity, spicy, and hoppy, with a light, refreshing finish.

My first from Titletown... and for the second, I hope I find something better. Their website indicates they do better. In fact, I give them a great big Packer hug for converting Green Bay's main train depot into a restaurant and brewery. (I write a blog on train stations, unrelated to beer... Should anyone be interested: https://whatstationsteach.org.)

First bit of advice to Titletown... from a Belgo-phile. This is a tough tradition to brew in. Everything about it is subtle and quite different than what Americans tend to brew. Titletown seems to have had lots of success in the German tradition. Stick to your knitting and you will make enough money to convert another train station somewhere else and be a beer hero.

Second bit of general advice to all American crafters, don't venture into this style unless you intend to spend an inordinate amount of time understanding how Belgian yeast works and keeps. (I know nothing about this... I just know what I like to taste.)

Finally about Loose Caboose.... Too clear, not fruity enough and probably the wrong mix of hops. Put this recipe, not in the vault, but in the shredder. As BlackBeerPirate said: "this is boating beer." Belgians don't boat.

I asked myself: "how can this possibly go with food?" So, I drank it side-by-side with a nice saison. I finished only one... the one that made my cooking better, not worse.

Taste: mild yeast bread, thin. Grassy floral hop nose. Gold, clear, with a delicate lace of head. Medium/lite body. A bit watery for a Belgian IPA. more boating beer or stadium beer.

This is Titletown’s take on a Belgo-IPA.

It poured a light amber-tan in color. The beer has a pleasing floral aroma with notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Tastes gently floral with a slight bitterness. As it opens it develops more of a grassy note from the hop profile. I found this to be one of the most enjoyable brews they had pouring on my visit. Savored every sip.
