a very light take on the amber ale here, crystal clear and barely rust tinted in color, quite pale and minimally heady, but plenty carbonated in feel overall. the nose on it is way dryer than others, none of that long lasting malty sweetness in here, and the flavor is similarly lacking sweetness. in fact, its almost lacking flavor as a result, just a light toasty nutty front end and an absent finish. i like it in terms of mouthfeel, finally one of these thats light and sessionable instead of heavier and filling. the only problem is that it just doesnt taste like much. no hops at all that i can pick up on, not even bittering to balance. that said, lone tree has really middled for me with everything i have tried, never been particularly impresses with anything of theirs, so maybe i like this one the best of their stuff, but its still very average overall.
