Exceptionally nice pile of foam in the Dogfish IPA glass. Clear brownish-tinged golden brew. Peculiar aroma of old grapes and fermenting apricots. Rich and sweet, and an eye-opening funky flavor. Winey and mouthfilling.
Woody and brothy. Kind of like malt soaked in blackberry jam and topped off with chicken soup. Modest bitter aftertaste along with pencil shavings. Not much competition for the many lovely DIPAs available now. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Mayfair Liquors in Denver. This is in Lone Tree's "Branching Out Series."
