Beautiful dark copper body, clear and bright; thick and creamy light khaki head. Rather intense sweet aroma; lots of crystal and caramel malt notes; pumpkin. Very malt-forward; spicy; nutmeg and cinnamon; cloves; dull sweetness; nutty; subdued hop bitterness that lingers long into the finish. Full body; plenty of residual sugars; warm.
To me, this beer seems more like a Xmas holiday ale with its spicy character. Regardless, the beer exudes malt and spice flavor and seems well-suited for a cold winter evening by a warm wood fire.
