this beer looks and smells the part, with a hazy orange tinted pale golden color and a colossal white head that doesn't fade a lick. the nose is citrusy hops with grapefruit being central. pale malt base is fairly sturdy too. the hops don't come through well in the taste though, i have to imagine freshness is an issue with this, given how long its been on the shelf, but i can really see the potential. i wish that lovely and delicate hop aroma carried through to the taste. the finish is bread and bland with just a light oily hop profile that is unflattering at best. fuller bodied through and well carbonated, i could see this being a solid four season pale ale if it was fresher. as it is, its passable but drinkable.

Pine resin hop aroma fills your nose and is infused with a delicate fruity note. The body comes across with a solid gold color and topped with a thick, creamy head that lingers to the last drop. Taste combines a smooth, delicate malt presence with a gentle hop bitterness; some very faint esters add additional character to the overall flavor. The feel is medium-light with a glass smooth touch; crisp and clean finish.

A nice, flavorful beer, nicely balanced and easy drinking.
