Lone Tree "Peach Wheat." 32oz grumbler filled at Lone Tree Brewing a couple days ago and stored cold. Reviewed live. Expectations are below average given the brewery.
Served cold into a weizen glass in me friend's gaff in high altitude Fort Collins, Colorado. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
A: Pours a one finger wide head of white colour. Decent thickness; okay creaminess. Retention is pretty good - about 4+ minutes.
Body colour is a clear filtered pale yellow with copper hues. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Average vibrance.
Sm: Artificial peach fruit syrup extract - like what a novice homebrewer would use. Pale malts. Pilsner malts. Light floral hops. I don't get any wheat off the aroma, nor any yeast. Quite crappy for the style, but tolerable. Mild strength.
T: A bit of peach extract/artificial fruit syrup. Clean pale and pilsner malts. Straw. Clean barley. Middling generic floral hops. Painfully simple. No subtlety or balance here. Not very enjoyable. Quite generic.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Sticky. Lightly syrupy. Average carbonation. Okay body. Okay presence on the palate.
Dr: Quaffable, but quite low in quality. I wouldn't get it again. Another throwaway brew from Lone Tree. Avoid.
