12 oz. Can
Crafted On: 08/17/16
Unfucknbelivable! Cans still sitting around this long. I did not check.
Pours a clean/clear golden yellow color, nice carbonation, with a nice thick/foamy one-finger white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, slight hop, citrusy. The taste is malty, yeasty, some hops, citrusy. Medium body, ABV is hidden nicely. Overall, tasty, but, still unacceptable.

Summer in a glass. Bright and bubbly pale straw, poured from a can into a pint glass. Smell of grass, hay and faint hops. Taste of bready, malty sweetness, medium carbonation, over all light, refreshing. I like this style and it's lightness if I plan on having wine or a martini next.

Mountain Mama pours a delightful hazy pale blonde color, with a towering head of 3 fingers. It leaves toothpaste-like lace and has great retention.
Aromas of fresh baked bread for a moment, then the hay and straw come in as expected, with some grainy malts and a bit of corn as well.
Flavor is intense without being out of balance, striking it in fact with some great bready flavors and delicious Saaz influence. Light herbal qualities of lemongrass and rosemary. Cracker finishes the profile along with some nice pilsner-esque sharpness.
Feel is on point with taut carbonation and a nice, velvety creaminess. Crispy finish.
Another style nailed by Lone Tree. These guys really do not have a bad beer from what I can tell so far. Totally delicious, enjoyable, and assertive without overstepping any boundaries. A rare thing anymore, and these guys seem to have a knack for it. My favorite Munich Helles.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Shaker pint glass, there is no "best by" date that I can find.
APPEARANCE: pours a clear light golden color with less than one-finger white head that quickly dissipated until a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, there is minimal lacing on the glass, medium carbonation.
SMELL: bread and lemon citrus.
TASTE: initially sweet then a lemon citrus note with a dry finish.
PALATE: light body and medium carbonation.
OVERALL: this is a nice summer beer but not a traditional Helles Lager because of the dry finish, I enjoyed it but, it's not the best I've had, there are better options so I would probably not seek this one out again.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, slight hops, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of a Munich Helles Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a slight dryness. Tastes of strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, slight hops, hint of citrus, and a hint of yeast. Overall, weak appearance, decent aroma, body, and blend.

Poured into a dimpled mug.
Look: Opaque yellow straw color with a few rising bubbles -- A white head recedes to a collar and a light wisp. Very light spotty lacing.
Aroma: Malts and grains, some grassiness, followed by some light hops and subtle citrus.
Taste: A sweet malt bill to start, with an almost nutty character. Subtle hoppy bitterness and citrus in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light, goes down easy.
Overall: Not a fan of the style, but this one goes down easy enough.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of grains, caramel and toffee. Nice sweet caramel taste with a mild bitterness.

Look: Thick sudsy white head dissipates quickly. Mild carbonation. Color is hazy straw.
Smell: Light clean hop and barley malt.
Taste: More of the same. Add some bready malt to boot. It certainly is a bright lager.
Feel: Lighter body than I was expecting. Kinda watery. Half-dry finish.
Overall: Pervasively average. If your looking for a crisp clean Lager you could do a lot worse OR a lot better.
