On-tap at Final Gravity Brewing Co., Richmond, VA
A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of Belgian yeast and associated peppery spices.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: This saison isn't overly spicy and is easy to drink.

On tap at brewery:
Pours with a distinct amber lean to a golden body. Head is a tad disappointing on a full pour, as attempts at revival have only some success, but less than desired.
Nose is a fruity, floral scent with a yeasty shroud to it. Red apples, sweet-smelling flowers, light earthy spice.
Taste is similar to the nose, but drier than expected (thankfully for my palate). The apple snakes it’s way through the front to back. A decent level of carbonation adds to a light white pepper note that comes in the second half. A little lemon-orange citrus splashed the side of my tongue early as orchard fruit and farmhouse lead the way. Quite prickly feel, medium or just below body.
A half and half beer for me. Half of the aspects are what I enjoy in a saison. Half aren’t my favorite qualities, but on the whole, it works pretty well for me.
