Poured from 12oz can into glass. Stamped on canning date of '07/23/2018'.
Mostly clear, deep gold colored body. Just a bit of white head that disappears into a swirl of islands and ring. No lacing.
Honey in the aroma along with a scent of basil.
All malt in the flavor, along with the sweet honey and spice basil.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Interesting idea for a brew. Lacks a real consensus of flavors. Would be good for a hot summer day quencher beer. Nothing really off here, but not quite sure of the purpose of the brew. The basil is more prominent that for any other beer I have tried.

Can. Pours a clear copper color with small head. Aroma of basil, bit of honey and quite herbal. Taste of basil, nice touch of honey with a trace of citrus. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, smooth with a nice fresh feel. Enjoyable beer.

From a full pint can, this beer pours a copper color... a bit of haze, and a medium-sized white head. The aroma is engaging. Basil is the theme here...garden-fresh basil, which is present from the aroma through the finish. It delivers a bit of spiciness in the taste, but never really becomes overwhelming. So, there is also a hint of amber malt, a little hop bitterness, but they're all well behind the basil. The label talks about honey, but I had to search to find a hint of it. I'm not sure I've ever had a beer with such a basil flavor, well made, and well-conceived. Excellent and worth going out of your way to try.

Pours a clear, amber color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of slight basil, sweet malt, hint of sage, and slight pale malt. Fits the style of an Herbed / Spiced Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sage, slight basil, sweet malt, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, weak appearance, but the spice in the aroma and body is nicely done, slightly lacking in complexity.

Appearance - dark copper in color. Smell - not much smell, honey for sure. Taste - wow this is smooth. Definitely get honey. Nice. Overall - this is pretty good, I was wary at first.

From a can, it pours a slightly hazy gold orange color with a fizzy full white head.
The nose is honey, a little orange citrus, some rosemary, straw and hay. A little floral too. The flavor is sweet, lots of honey, and straw, which amounts to it not really tasting like much.
I am not 100% sure what they were going for, but its just blah.

On tap. Poured a golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel, floral notes and basil. Fairly strong basil/mint taste with sweet caramel and a mild bitterness.

A - Pours an attractive honey color with a small 1/2 finger white head. Retention is fair at best and very little lacing
S - Wonderful aroma. reminds me of late summer and early fall. Its very similar to some of the pumpkin beers. It does have hints of pumpkin although I do not believe any pumpkin was used in the beer. The basil is present but not over powering and is actually very well balanced. Even hints of apples coms to mind
T - Really enjoying this beer. The basil flavors are present, but again balanced nicley and it works very well. Sweet in the mouth and it does have a pumpkin beer flavor, just not nearly as strong.
M - A thinner light beer, but its meant to be that way. Lower ABV. Very smooth an no burn. Slightly creamy feeling. Goes down way too easy!
O - I was very skeptical about this beer due to the basil, but I am thrilled I tried it. A new favorite for me. This is an awesome seasonal beer and the perfect transition from summer into fall. I'm already looking forward to getting it again next year!

Canned 05/20/14
Pours an effervescent amber with 2+ fingers of cream colored head. Above average head retention & lacing, stays effervescent throughout
S: Rich bready notes, some peppery notes
T: Honey & bready notes, Basil spicyness/pepperiness up front. Kings Hawaiian Bread & pears & melons as this warms, along with more Basil & White Pepper. Finishes with honey/bready sweetness & crispness
MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation, nice balance
Easy to drink, nice refreshing beer. I will buy this again
