Poured from a can. Golden in color with a thin white head. Smells of sweetness and malt. Flavors of malt and a grassy sweetness. Ends with a slight bitterness.

On tap. Poured a golden color with a decent head that faded slowly. Aroma of vanilla, hint of banana and a bit floral. taste of light malt sweetness, bit of vanilla and grass. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Moderate body, smooth with a nice subtle character.

This is not a beer for hop lovers or those that like the extremes. This cream ale is smooth and easy. It has become my favorite summer beer.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, bubbly, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of floral notes and sweet caramel. Mild sweetness with a subtle bitterness.

Canned on 02/13/15 so it's pretty fresh. Wanted to try a cream ale and this is the first of the style I have encountered. Poured into a goblet shaped claret glass from a pint can.

Look: Somewhat hazy light amber-gold with a nice white head. Immediately leaves wavy lacing which droops and slithers to the bottom of the glass as you drink, leaving no lacing behind. This is one of the first beers I've reviewed that doesn't have a banded glass of lace when finished. The head diminishes quickly to a thin veil.

Smell: Grainy, yeasty, fruit ester kind of smell that reminds me of a Trippel. Sweet, with a touch of alcohol.

Taste: Very clean, with a yeasty tartness almost like sourdough. The predominant flavor is yeast but it also has a back end reminiscent of the aftertaste of corn flakes. Extraordinarily subtle spiciness from the single variety hops, but no bitterness at all. Overall the flavor is delicate.

Feel: Crisp and smooth. Carbonation is surprisingly minimal. This beer was cold conditioned so it has mouthfeel characteristics of a lager.

Overall: Almost a lager in disguise, this beer drinks easily and possess desirable traits from both ales and lagers. I would enjoy this on a hot day and it is very tasty.
