In the heart of Texas County, McKinney Eddy on the Big Piney River was home to our friend and master blacksmith, Charlie McKinney. Charlie toiled over an anvil with purpose, passion and pure Ozark creativity—an inspiration for our handcrafted amber ale.

On draft, it was poured a solid amber with a small head, soon diminishing to a ring. Scent is malty a,nd a little sweet. Taste is nondescript, easily quaffed.

Drank from the can pool side, so not sure what it looked like. The aroma is roasty and slightly sweet. Taste is malty caramel with a hint of bitter. was a ok but not something I would search out. Had to try since I was here in Salem Missouri.

This is no red or amber ale. This is a brown ale through and through. And I do not care for brown ales. The flavor was dominated by tones of chocolate, nuts, and hints of coffee. Extremely disappointed.

Can from Whole Foods in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Amber body, slightly hazy, small off white head. Caramel malts, ripe fruit. Assertive sweetness throughout. Too much so for my palate.

Reddish-brown. Hazy. Short, off-white head, persistent.
Aroma is medium roast malts. Light chocolate and raisin.
Hoppier than I expected from the aroma. Still to the malty side. Caramel, raisin, a little bitter coffee. Light citrusy hops. Seems a little thin.
