In the Ozarks, the masked bandit is notorious for raiding the corn patch. Or, for finding—and eating—the perfectly ripe watermelon in the garden just before it's picked. Our handcrafted Masked Bandit India Pale Ale is a black rye IPA that is raccoon proof…as long as the raccoon in your neck of the woods isn't a hop head.

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of strong piney hops, sweet malt, slight roasted malt, slight resin, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of an American Black Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. The bitterness level is too intense. Tastes of strong piney hops, sweet malt, slight roasted malt, slight resin, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, good appearance, strong body and aroma, too sharp, too bitter, but great alcohol blend.

Poured from a can. Pours dark with a small white head that dissipated quickly. Smells of pine and malt. Pine and malt also come out in the taste, hints of raisin also. Overall a solid black ipa.
