awesome dark brown ale brewed with local coffee. an absolutely perfect hangover beer, even when the hangover is fierce like mine was, this is a great way to shake it and get back in the saddle. they have some great food up in here too, so its a nice turnaround. i like the darker nature of this brown ale, along with some darker toasted and roasty malts, it also has a little bigger body than most of these, which allows for a richer drinking experience. the coffee is fantastic in aroma and flavor, has a fresh roasted nature to it, and really pops through the dark malt, minimal acidity and only moderate bitterness from it. there has to be vanilla added here, which would be fine if it was lighter, but its pretty strong and adds a lot of sweetness, i could do without it, but i can also see it making the beer a little more mass appeal. the fuller body is great, and the chocolate notes with the added coffee are really fantastic. i was super impressed by all the beers in here, but this is one of their best clean beers i had!
