Poured into a tulip glass from a 12 oz bottle.
Pours dark amber with a medium head that lingers for a bit and then dissipates into a thin layer of foam. Impressed it hung out as long as it did.
The aroma is sweet malty with a fair amount of hop presence. I found that if I let it warm up I would sometimes detect hints of vanilla.
The taste features sweet caramel notes with slight alcoholic burn. Fair amount of hop bitterness. It finishes very harsh, almost medicinal or solventy. Light mouthfeel.

Disclaimer - had this beer in my basement for a bit so did not have it fresh.
A - A hard pour give a thick two fingers of head that quickly settle to a nice layer half the size. Dark burnt orange in color. Used a Sierra Nevada glass with laser etching that gives off a fair amount of carbonation. Head stays at a nice level through out the beer. Some lacing but not much on the sides of the glass.
S - Faint sweet scent with a hint of citrus, mostly orange like.
T - Sweet citrus that then changes more to piney notes. The cellaring of it might have calmed the hoppiness down since it doesn't feel like a DIPA.
M - Very smooth. The sweet start with the hoppy back is a nice presentation.
O - A good beer even though the age might make it feel more like a IPA instead of a DIPA.
