Palate Contaminants: other beer
Brought back something interesting from Tennessee.
Appearance is a thick gold hue that glows nicely up against a light.
Smell is a lot like Curieux – lightly wooded and a little smoky – but with some grape notes.
Taste is like salty hard Parmesan cheese. (I guess I should been prepared as I normally am, all I have in my fridge is a pound of Tillamook Extra Sharp.) And of course, a lot of what's on the nose hangs around for the tongue, but the grape taste is more leaf than juice. It's good, but not a "Wow!" like the aforementioned Curieux.
Feel is silky. I'll also note that my bottle has an ABV of 6.2%.
I'd have no problem trying something else from this brewery.
